Description

Low ferritin can produce a range of symptoms that can mimic low thyroid function… but low ferritin can also impair T4 → T3 conversion. It’s one of the most overlooked reasons women feel exhausted, foggy, and unwell despite “normal” thyroid labs.

Iron is required for the production of thyroid hormones T4 and T3 in the thyroid gland, the conversion of T4 into the more active T3, and the utilization of T3 inside the cell. Low iron stores can be devastating for the thyroid… affecting production, conversion, and utilization of thyroid hormone.

Here’s the critical piece: even if your TSH, Free T4, and Free T3 all look normal, low iron stores can impair thyroid hormone utilization at the cellular receptor level — meaning your numbers look fine but you still don’t feel well. Low ferritin can also increase reverse T3 (rT3), an inactive form of T3 that binds to receptors and blocks the active hormone from working.

Iron Fixxr® delivers ferrous iron chelate… a potent, bioavailable form of iron that’s extremely well tolerated by the gastrointestinal system. No constipation. No stomach upset. Just the iron your thyroid and body have been asking for, in a form that’s safe for pregnant and lactating women, teens, and adults.

How Iron Fixxr® Works

Here’s what’s actually happening: iron plays three critical roles in thyroid health… not just one.

1. Thyroid hormone production

Iron is a required cofactor for the enzymes that produce T4 and T3 in the thyroid gland itself. Without adequate iron, hormone production stalls at the source.

2. T4 → T3 conversion

Iron supports the enzymes responsible for converting inactive T4 into the active T3 your cells actually use. Low iron = stalled conversion, even if T4 levels look fine.

3. Cellular T3 utilization

Iron is required for the utilization of T3 at the cellular level — the receptor-level step where thyroid hormone actually does its job. Low iron stores mean T3 can’t work, even if it’s present. This is why lab results can look “normal” while you still feel hypothyroid.

Iron Fixxr uses ferrous iron chelate… bound to a chelating agent for better absorption and significantly better GI tolerance. This is iron that works with your body, not against it.

Why Iron Fixxr®?

  1. Enhanced thyroid function

Iron is essential for the production of thyroid hormones T4 and T3. Iron Fixxr supports optimal iron levels… which means better thyroid hormone synthesis at the source and better overall metabolic health.

  2. Improved T4 → T3 conversion

Low iron can impair the conversion of T4 to T3… leaving you with enough thyroid hormone on paper, but not enough active T3 where it counts. Replenishing iron supports the conversion step your body’s been struggling with.

  3. Boosted cellular utilization of T3

Iron is required for T3 to actually work at the cellular level. Even if your labs look normal, low iron stores can block T3 from doing its job. Iron Fixxr supports the cellular uptake and utilization your metabolism depends on.

  4. Alleviates low-thyroid symptoms from ferritin deficiency

Fatigue, brain fog, cold hands, brittle nails… many of these classic “low thyroid” symptoms can actually be driven by low ferritin. Addressing iron deficiency often brings back the energy and clarity you’ve been missing.

What to Expect When Starting
Iron Fixxr®

WEEKS 2-4

Early shifts often show up first in energy and mental clarity. Many women notice less fatigue and fewer brain fog moments during this window. Ferritin levels are beginning to rebuild… it’s a foundational process, not an overnight one.

WEEKS 6-8

Energy continues to improve. Cold hands and feet may warm up. Nails look stronger. Restless legs often calm. Many women notice fewer headaches and more consistent stamina.

WEEKS 12+

This is where ferritin rebuilding really shows up. Full energy returns. T4 → T3 conversion gets the iron cofactor it’s been missing. Thyroid function improves even if your labs already “looked normal.” Consistency is essential… ferritin is a long-term storage form and takes time to rebuild.

Love my IRON FIXXR. Being a frequent blood doner wrecked my iron and ferratin.I was impressed that after 30 days of IRON FIXXR my numbers were up and my hemoglobin was back in business. Thanks Dr Amie for giving me a solution to help me continue to give back.

My iron level was extremely low according to my labs. I use other Fixxr products and after reading about Iron Fixxr, I decided to order and see if it helped. After my first bottle, my iron level had came up to low normal. I will continue taking it.

FORMULATED BY THYROID EXPERT

Dr. Amie Hornaman

The Fixxr supplement line was developed by Dr. Amie Hornaman to address the root drivers that make women feel like their body stopped cooperating… no matter what they do.

After years of working with women whose ferritin was low, whose thyroid hormone wasn’t converting, and whose iron supplements were causing so much constipation they stopped taking them… Dr. Amie formulated Iron Fixxr with ferrous iron chelate. A form that actually works, actually absorbs, and actually stays down.

“Iron is required for your thyroid to make hormones, convert T4 to T3, and for your cells to use T3. Even if every number on your thyroid panel looks normal, low ferritin can leave you feeling hypothyroid. I formulated Iron Fixxr with ferrous iron chelate so women can actually tolerate and absorb the iron their thyroid depends on.”

Why is iron so important for thyroid function?

Iron is required in three critical steps of thyroid hormone activity: the production of T4 and T3 in the thyroid gland, the conversion of T4 into active T3, and the utilization of T3 inside the cell. Low iron stores can impair all three… which is why ferritin deficiency often mimics or worsens hypothyroid symptoms.

Will Iron Fixxr cause constipation like other iron supplements?

No. Iron Fixxr uses ferrous iron chelate, which is extremely well tolerated by the gastrointestinal system. Most women have no issue taking it… unlike with ferrous sulfate or other harsh iron forms that are notorious for constipation and stomach upset.

My thyroid labs look normal. Why might I still need iron?

Even if your TSH, Free T4, and Free T3 look normal, low iron stores can impair thyroid hormone utilization at the cellular receptor level… meaning your numbers look fine but you still don’t feel well. Low ferritin can also increase reverse T3 (an inactive form that blocks T3 receptors). This is one of the most overlooked reasons women with “normal” thyroid labs still feel hypothyroid.

Is Iron Fixxr safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Yes. Iron Fixxr is safe for use by pregnant and lactating women, teens, and adults. As always, if you have specific concerns or medical conditions, talk to your healthcare provider.

How do I know if I have low ferritin?

Common signs include weakness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, cold hands and feet, poor short-term memory, brittle nails, headaches, restless legs, shortness of breath, and dizziness. If those sound familiar, ask your healthcare provider to check your ferritin levels… not just your iron or hemoglobin.

Should I take Iron Fixxr with Copper + Fixxr?

Copper is essential for converting stored iron (ferritin) into a usable form. Women whose ferritin won’t budge despite taking iron are often low on copper. Iron Fixxr and Copper + Fixxr can be complementary… Iron Fixxr provides the iron your body needs, and Copper + Fixxr supports the copper-dependent metabolism that makes that iron usable.

Can I take Iron Fixxr with my other Fixxr supplements?

Yes. Iron Fixxr pairs well with the entire Fixxr line… especially Thyroid Fixxr, T3 Conversion Fixxr, and Copper + Fixxr. Take with meals to support absorption and minimize any digestive sensitivity.
